The Senior Master Chief Petty Officer of the Navy, (SMCPON) is a unique non-commissioned rank and position of office of the Grayson Space Navy, which is designated as a special pay grade above E-10. The holder of this position is the most senior enlisted member of the [[Grayson Space Navy]]. While the SMCPON is a non-commissioned officer, this rank is protocoled higher than all Commodores and is equivalent to a Rear Admiral in billet and seating. 

The Senior Master Chief Petty Officer of the Navy is appointed by the [[High Admiral]] to serve as a spokesperson to address the issues of enlisted personnel to the highest positions in the GSN. As such, they are the senior enlisted advisor to the High Admiral, Deputy High Admiral (as applicable), and the Chief of Staff of the Grayson Space Navy. The SMCPON serves at the pleasure of the High Admiral for an appointed three-year term of office and can be reappointed by the High Admiral for an additional two-year term.

==History==
On 25 December 2016, the [[Grayson Space Navy]] component of TRMN established its own SMCPON(GSN).<ref>[[Protector's Order 1202-16]]</ref> Prior to this, the FSMCPO for Fourth Fleet (aka Grayson Space Navy Home Fleet) was the ''de facto'' GSN SMCPON; however with increasing numbers of GSN personnel serving in RMN chapters, there was a need to decouple the 4th Fleet FSCMPO and SMCPON GSN roles/responsibilities. The SMCPON(GSN)'s duties are the same as the SMCPON save that his AOR is confined to GSN personnel, and he reports to the High Admiral.
