''Claymore'' was first brought into commission on 27 April 2016 under the command of [[CAPTJG]] Marcus Johnston, by order of [[Bureau of Ships|BuShips]], claiming [[wikipedia:Tempe, Arizona|Tempe, Arizona]] as her charter city, but claimed the entire American state of [[wikipedia:Arizona|Arizona]] as its operating area. Her crew was formerly assigned to {{hms|Claymore|CA-51}} (CA-51) and upgraded to this new vessel. She has participated in one [[Fleet Events|Fleet Event]], [[LepreCon]], and the [[Tempe Library Comicon]]. They continued to expand, until they finally split into two ships, {{hms|Broadsword|CA-47}} and {{hms|Claymore|CA-51}}.
