'''HMS Stormbringer (SD-34)''' was a [[Sphinx-class]] [[Superdreadnought]] within [[Eighth Fleet]]. Commanded by [[FADM]] [[Lord]] Johnathan Simmons, [[Viscount]] New Cornwall, [[RMN]], ''Stormbringer'' claimed [[wikipedia:Denver, Colorado|Denver, Colorado]] as her charter city, but claimed the whole American state of [[wikipedia:Colorado|Colorado]] as its area of operations.
==History==
''Stormbringer'' was brought into commission on 22 May 2010, commanded by then-[[FADM]] [[Lord]] Johnathan Simmons. There was no official [[Bureau of Ships|BuShips]] Directive; the commissioning was referenced in the annual report by then-[[LCDR]] Anne Zecca, Director of Membership Operations in August 2011. This was the first ship in [[TRMN]], and since was formed before we were an official fan association, ship names were not approved by BuNine. The new captain was also the captain of STARFLEET International ship USS Stormbringer, so he simply convinced most of her crew to simply sign up in TRMN.

They adopted English naval tradition as they developed the chapter, and as they traveled the country promoting TRMN as a whole, for which then-[[FADM]] Simmons was raised to the peerage as the first [[Viscount]] New Cornwall. (The title "Viscount" was later eliminated as a valid peer level.)

By 01 Feburary 2011, Simmons stepped down as [[First Space Lord]] due to a massive heart attack (and requiring quadruple bypass surgery), and he became a mere captain. No one stepped up to take over the chapter, so the ''Stormbringer'' was decommissioned in late July 2011.<ref>[[BuShips Directive 1107-01]]</ref> Members of the chapter who remained in TRMN eventually became part of {{hms|Enterprise|BC-480}} a year later. Since ''Stormbringer'' was created before ship names were standardized, it was decided that the name be stricken from the rolls.
