BuShips Directive 1409-01 was issued 1 September 2014 under the authority of the Third Space Lord. It changes command for HMS Gryphon.
Order Text
My fellow Manticorans,
Effective as of 0001 Hours on September 1, 2014, it is my duty to announce the following changes of command for HMS Gryphon, SD-153. This is a Gryphon Class Super Dreadnought and is assigned to the Second Fleet.
The new CO will be Captain, sg. Andrew Sams The new XO will be Lt. Commander Sherman Day
Bosun is unchanged at this time.
The following persons are breveted in rank:
- Andrew Sams to Captain, s.g.
- Sherman Day to Lt. Commander
Additionally, due to failure to comply with the requirements of his brevet rank, Captain Sg. Derek Sauls is reduced to his permanent rank of Chief Petty Officer.

Clarifications
Ladies and Gentlemen:
I gave Admiral the wrong brevet rank for Commander Day, it should indeed be Commander, TRMN.
