Effective as of 0001 Hours (EST) on August 31, 2014, it is my pleasure to announce the commissioning of HMS Hydra, CLAC-19, under the command of Captain (s.g.) Melyssa Smith. This is Hydra Class LAC Carrier and is assigned to the Sixth Fleet, based in Norman, OK.

As of the date of Commissioning, the following personnel are assigned to HMS Hydra:

• Captain (s.g.) Melyssa Smith (and assigned as CO, HMS Hydra)
• Commander Joseph Barrow (and assigned as XO, HMS Hydra)
• Chief Petty Officer Cole Conner (and assigned as Bosun, HMS Hydra)
• Lieutenant, senior grade Nathan Durbin
• Brett Price to Lieutenant, junior grade
• James Hughes to Lieutenant, junior grade
• James Kerr to Warrant Officer
• Spacer 3rd Class Benjamin Smith
• Spacer 3rd Class Larry Everly
• Spacer 3rd Class Maria Soto
• Spacer 3rd Class David Holloway
• Spacer 3rd Class William Ritter
• Spacer 3rd Class Doss Buckalew
• Private Alex Torres (RMMC)
• Civilian-1 David Kimbrell

The following persons are breveted in rank:

Due to failure to comply with the requirements of his brevet rank, the following officer is reduced in rank as indicated:

• Benjamin Smith to Spacer, Third Class

This action also returns HMS Juggernaut, CA-397 to the reserve yard for use as needed.
