BuShips Directive 1711-06 was issued 21 November 2017 under the authority of the Third Space Lord. This directive re-commissions HMS Merlin.

Attention to Orders:

Effective as of 0001 Hours on 21 November, 2017, it is my pleasure and privilege to announce the re-commissioning of HMS Merlin (CA-270), This is a Star Knight-class Heavy Cruiser and is assigned to Second Fleet (Big Lake, Minnesota, USA).

Subsequent to this commissioning, HMS Javelin shall be transferred to the Active Fleet Reserves, following inspection and any repairs deemed necessary. This vessel shall be made available for recommissioning at a later date.
