Description

File:RMN Gravitics Technician.png

Gravitics Technicians operate, test, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair ship's gravitics arrays.

Historical Overview

Gravitic sensors were sensors designed to measure the influence of gravity on their surroundings.

Warships of the Diaspora era were usually equipped with such devices to detect other ships' impeller drive. Gravitic Array Technicians were responsible for maintaining them.

Gravitic sensors 'see' FTL, therefore can monitor ships impeller drives in 'Real Time.'

Civilian ships also used gravitic sensors, but with much more limited range.

The Mesan spider drive was specifically designed to be undetectable by gravitic sensors.
