BuShips Directive 1506-10 was issued 25 June 2015 under the authority of the Third Space Lord. It commissions HMS Grendelsbane.

My fellow Members of the Grand Alliance,
Effective as of 0001 Hours (EST) on June 25, 2015, it is my pleasure to announce the commissioning of HMS Grendelsbane, under the command of Captain, senior grade Matthew Parker. This is a Medusa-B Class Superdreadnought and is assigned to the Sixth Fleet, based in Lincoln, NE.
As of the date of Commissioning, the following personnel are assigned to HMS Grendelsbane:
- Captain, s.g. Matthew Parker (assigned as CO of HMS Grendelsbane)
- Commander Pamela Cole (assigned as XO of HMS Grendelsbane)
- Chief Petty Officer Michael Parker (assigned as Bosun of HMS Grendelsbane)
