Re: Opening of Gryphon Planetary University.

In order to facilitate Leadership Training within TRMN, Gryphon Planetary University is hereby established and opened. Gryphon Planetary University will contain two colleges:

The Advanced Leadership College (ALC), which will contain Management, Leadership, Communication and Ethics training from both within BuTrain and external sites.
The Institute for TRMN Leadership Studies (ITLS) will contain courses specific to TRMN, including Bureau courses, and courses for specific roles in TRMN.

Gryphon Planetary University’s opening curriculum will consist of 6 courses in ALC that replace existing leadership courses across the Bureau of Training, and will act as Leadership courses for all branches, both military and civilian.

Directive 003-23.1.1: Gryphon Planetary University is established under BuTrain and declared open.
Directive 003-23.1.2: Courses numbered GPU-ALC-0009 and 0010 replace and eliminate PAMA enlisted leadership courses. Effective immediately GPU-ALC-0009 is added as a prerequisite for all branch 0005 courses and GPU-ALC-0010 is added as a prerequisite for all branch 0006 courses.
Directive 003-23.1.3: Courses numbered GPU-ALC-0113 and 0115 will replace and eliminate all branch 0113 and 0115 courses respectively and eliminate all PAMA officer leadership courses. Effective immediately GPU-ALC-0113 is added as a prerequisite for all branch 0104 courses and GPU-ALC-0115 is added as a prerequisite for all branch 0106 courses. Effective immediately instructors will no longer issue 0113 or 0115 courses, but will either issue a GPU course themselves or direct the student to the GPU instructors.
Directive 003-23.1.4: For all Admiralty Orders, Branch or Naval Directives, or Bureau orders that reference any branch version of 0113 or 0115, the GPU versions will be considered equivalent for all members going forward.
Directive 003-23.1.5: Courses numbered GPU-ALC-1111 and 1112 will replace and eliminate PAMA flag level leadership courses. Effective immediately GPU-ALC-1111 is added as a prerequisite for all branch 1002 courses and GPU-ALC-1112 is added as a prerequisite for all branch 1003 courses.
Directive 003-23.1.6: For all members who have completed branch-specific leadership courses that are being replaced by the new GPU courses, their existing courses will continue to count for all promotion points, promotion eligibility, and prerequisites.
Directive 003-23.1.7: No member is required to go back and take the prerequisite classes for mainline rank coursework already completed, but will need to take the appropriate prerequisite prior to undertaking any additional mainline rank studies going forward.
Directive 003-23.1.8: Existing 0113 and 0115 courses that have been issued to students, but not yet been returned for marking may be submitted for 90 days following this directive. After this time a member should apply for the relevant GPU course to replace their outstanding course.
Directive 003-23.1.9: GPU-ALC courses are available to take singly or as a sequence unto themselves, and members who wish to take them independently of rank courses are welcome to do so.
Directive 003-23.1.10: The Bureau of Planning Intel courses and Constack courses are assigned to the ITLS.
Directive 003-23.2.1: As a result of this, the PAMA Sun Tzu Leadership Academy has had all of its coursework eliminated, and is subsequently, closed.
Directive 003-23.2.2: The instructors for the PAMA Sun Tzu Academy are reassigned to GPU-ALC and are required to proceed to GPU to take up their duty assignments.
Directive 003-23.2.3: No change is made to the GPU command structure at this time.
