Re: Marksmanship Program Office

With the closure of the Office of the First Lord of the Admiralty many initiatives and programs have been left by the wayside. One such imitative was being filled by the STO - that of being a consistent voice of, and cheerleader for the Marksmanship Program. As such in discussions with those who were in that role, and some Range/Tactical Officer advice from the more active areas we have decided to open up a new office for this role under the Office of Awards. The goal of the office is to encourage more participation, improve the tracking required details for all members so that in the event of moving between fleets, or people going unexpectedly AWOL data will not be lost, and to provide consistent messaging and rulings across the whole organization.

As such, I am appointing CMDR William Karnesky as Director, and CAPT(JG)Alex Shaffer as Deputy Director and have given them the power to appoint any staff they may need in order to accomplish these goals.

Please report to CAPT(SG) Nathan Camarda for initial briefing before being told which office is yours to occupy by LCDR Ken Ayotte
